sat in a drawer for three years.
Fatuma graduated top of her class. But she had never used a computer, did not know how to write a CV, and had no idea how to access the digital economy growing around her. A school certificate and real-world capability are two completely different things — and the gap between them has never been wider.
“The certificate proves you can learn. The Hub teaches you what to do with what you know.” Fatuma · Girls Digital Hub Graduate, Now Trainer

In the heart of many Tanzanian communities, a silent barrier keeps thousands of children from ever stepping inside a classroom. While poverty is a hurdle for many, for children with disabilities, orphans, and girls facing deep-seated cultural norms, the obstacles are often rooted in stigma and isolation. These children carry “silent burdens”—the emotional stress of being “different,” the physical struggle of a lack of assistive devices, or the trauma of child-headed households. At CODEWA, we believe that education is not a privilege for the lucky few; it is a fundamental right that must be protected for the many.
Nos Inclusive & Protective Education program is a sanctuary of belonging. We focus on those who face the highest barriers to entry. Your support provides life-changing assistive devices and adaptive learning materials for children with disabilities, ensuring they can participate alongside their peers with dignity. For children with albinism, the sun itself is a barrier to education; we provide life-saving sun-protective oils and hats to shield them from skin cancer while fighting the deep-seated social stigmas that often keep them isolated from their peers. We also advocate for girls facing menstrual or cultural challenges, providing the hygiene kits and safe spaces they need to stay in school every day of the month.
This campaign goes beyond the individual child to transform the school itself. We work directly with educators to establish child protection safeguarding, anti-bullying awareness, and positive discipline. We are building “living classrooms” that are gender-sensitive and safe from violence. By supporting this program, you are ensuring that orphans and vulnerable children are not forced to choose survival over school. You are helping us rewrite a future where every child—regardless of their ability, gender, or background—feels they belong. Together, we can ensure that no child is left behind in the shadows. We are not just building schools; we are building a culture of love, learning, and absolute inclusion.
