Community Development Watch (CODEWA) is a youth-led, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children and young people to learn, grow, and thrive. Yes. Community Development Watch (CODEWA) is a fully registered, youth-led, non-governmental and non-profit organization in the United Republic of Tanzania. CODEWA was originally registered on 2nd July 2015 under the NGO Act No. 24 of 2002 (Registration No. 00NGO\/00008056<\/strong>), and has since been issued a renewed Certificate of Registration on 14th January 2026, with Registration Number 00NGO\/R1\/00579<\/strong>, valid for ten (10) years from the date of issue. This means your donations are secure.<\/p>

This legal status authorizes CODEWA to operate across Tanzania Mainland in accordance with its governing Constitution and the Laws of Tanzania, and enables us to partner with government institutions, international organizations, donors, and development partners in implementing community-led programs.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our main office<\/strong> is located at Bonde Buildings, Zimamoto Street, Tabora, Tanzania<\/strong>, and we manage programs across multiple regions nationwide. While our headquarters handle overall operations and strategy, we work closely with local partners and field teams<\/strong> to ensure programs are culturally relevant, effective, and responsive to local community needs.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

We serve children, youth, and families<\/strong>, particularly those facing barriers such as poverty, educational challenges, limited access to healthcare, or social exclusion. Our focus is on helping every child and youth regardless of background\u2014access opportunities to succeed in life.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
