Building Stronger Foundations: CODEWA’s Capacity-Building Journey

On May 24, 2021, Community Development Watch (CODEWA) embarked on an important two-day capacity-building training organized by the Rhize Institute and facilitated by Ms. Sharon. This training was a unique opportunity for our team to strengthen our institutional capabilities, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure that CODEWA is fully equipped to achieve its mission of transforming the lives of children, youth, and communities in Tabora and beyond.

At CODEWA, we recognize that building strong institutions is critical to creating sustainable impact. Through this training, our staff gained practical knowledge and skills in areas such as:

• Effective project planning and program management
• Teamwork, collaboration, and communication

The training also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring that our team can respond effectively to community needs and maximize the impact of every program we deliver.

The session was further enriched by collaboration with Restless Development, whose experts worked closely with CODEWA staff throughout the training, providing hands-on guidance, insights, and best practices. This partnership highlighted the value of knowledge exchange and peer learning in strengthening our organizational capacity.
